What is Bumpi and how does it work?

Bumpi is the brand. The Redirector is our pride and joy.
Bumpi’s Redirector repositions the lap belt under your bump and keeps it low across the pelvic bones, not the abdomen. You still wear your standard 3-point seatbelt as normal.

Is it legal and compliant?

Yes. Bumpi does not alter or replace your seatbelt. The Redirector has been independently crash-tested and is designed to comply with applicable ADR, US, and EU safety regulations. Always follow local road rules and wear your seatbelt correctly.

Will it fit my car?

If your seat has a standard 3-point seatbelt, you’re good. The Redirector installs on most front seats in cars, SUVs, and utes. Not designed for lap-only belts or fixed racing-style seats.

How does it install and how long does it take?

Tool-free install in minutes: route strap, secure, tighten, place pad, and adjust once. After that, just buckle up as normal. A quick-start card and video guide are included.

When in pregnancy should I start using it? Can I use it postpartum?

Use whenever you feel it helps. Many start around 12-16 weeks. It can also reduce pressure postpartum, including after a C-section. Follow your healthcare provider’s advice.

What exactly does Redirector improve in a crash scenario?

It helps keep the lap belt low and stable across the pelvis, reducing upward belt migration toward the abdomen during everyday driving and sudden stops. Independent sled tests verify belt-path retention under load. Redirector does not change how your seatbelt locks or deploys.

What is it made from and how do I clean it?

Durable, skin-friendly textiles with reinforced webbing and engineered polymers tested for daily use. Spot-clean with mild soap and water, then air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Can I move it between vehicles?

Yes. It’s lightweight and quick to remove and refit. If you regularly swap cars, consider keeping one per vehicle to save time.
